SHIPPING:
Shipping is $380.00 (as of 7-10-08 as fares just increased) (subject to change per airlines)  within continental U.S. (up to 10 weeks - after that age, weight may dictate a higher price). (There was a recent rate increase by the airlines of approximately $50, and this has caused us to increase our shipping price from $300 to $350).)  This price includes:  travel arrangements; delivery to airport; air fare; airline-approved pet taxi; veterinarian health certificate; puppy starter pack; collar & name tag; and special travel toy with Mom's scent to lessen stress; puppy packet will be sent to Buyer via priority mail. (Pup must be at least 8 weeks old before airlines will accept puppies for air travel.)  It is not always possible to ship exactly on the day the pup turns 8 weeks.  Weather restrictions imposed by airlines may apply and may affect shipping times and dates.  The temperature cannot exceed 85degrees at any departure or arrival city along the way (including layovers).  If it does, the airlines will not allow the pup to fly.  The same applies to colder weather, although different airlines may impose different temperature restrictions (i.e., 10 degrees, 20 degrees.)

Please note that we do our best to get the pups shipped as quickly as possible.   We generally use Delta Airlines.  Delta allows reservations to be booked no more than 7 days in advance.  There will generally be a layover/plane change in Atlanta (sometimes it will be Cincinnati instead depending upon the pup's destination.)  Although you may find numerous flights on the airlines' internet pages that do not have layovers or at what appear to be preferable times, the flights that accept pets are limited, and of those limited flights, there is a limit as to how many pets may be on each flight.  Therefore, it may appear that we could have chosen a more direct route or a better flight time.  Please be assured that we have done our very best to book the best possible flight time and route for your pup.

Northwest Airlines is also used; however, reservations may only be made 24 hours in advance and this may affect our ability to plan ahead.  Continential does not fly out of Nashville International and therefore we cannot ship with them.  Southwest does not ship animals.  We will not ship with American Airlines.

We have not experienced any problems with shipping our pups.  The only complaints we have had from a handful of owners was a connection delay that necessitated a later flight. Although frustrating, the pups were not adversely affected.  They arrive healthy, happy and their owners are happy with the shipping process.  They are provided with ice and food upon check in.  The airline employees are not allowed to let the pup out of the crate for obvious safety reasons and for your pup's health.  We have found Delta's Pets First program to be excellent and very professional.  Please be assured that if we did not feel our pups were safe and well treated, we would not ship them, and we would not provide a service to you that we would not use ourselves.  We have purchased dogs and pups that have come to us via Delta and Northwest and have been very pleased with the process and experience.

THERE IS A SHIPPING DISCOUNT GIVEN BY THE AIRLINES FOR TWO PUPS PURCHASED THAT CAN TRAVEL TOGETHER.
