We give NuVet to all our dogs and puppies, and can verify that it really works.  My 2-1/2 lb chihauha had severe problems with her hind legs and eventually couldn't walk over even the 3 inch step-up from our sunroom to the kitchen.  NuVet changed that, and now she runs around like a maniac.  I can tell when I've forgotten to give it to her for a few days because her little legs start to bother her again.  I am a walking testimony to this stuff.  For more information or to order, please click on the NuVet logo or bottles photos above.  Teri Rowland
GUIDELINES FOR YOUNG PUPPIES (UNDER 16 WEEKS):

(FOLLOWING THESE GUIDELINES COULD SAVE YOUR PUPPY'S LIFE.
CLICK THE  HIGHLIGHTED LINK TO SEE OUR "IN MEMORY OF" PAGE dedicated to our pups who lost their lives to parvo)

1.  DO NOT take your puppy to the front yard, park, for a walk around the block, or to PetSmart.  These are all places where infected dogs have been or presently are.

2.  Only have the puppies around dogs YOU KNOW are current on vaccinations. There should be NO contact with stray dogs or dogs that you are not sure of.

3.  Do NOT let your puppy be exposed to other puppies.  These pups could be incubating parvo or other diseases (and therefore be contagious) without showing signs of illness.

4.  Always wash your hands after handling any dog so you don't pass anything to your puppy.

5. Do NOT take your puppy to "puppy schools" for training until his/her final shots have been given (16 weeks).  Your pup's life could depend upon it.

Pups remain HIGHLY SUSCEPTIBLE to parvo until 2-4 weeks after the last injection of the immunization series.

BELOW IS THE TYPE OF CRATE WE USE AND RECOMMEND. Please note that most of the information will state that a golden retriever should be in the 42" cage.  However, we use the 36" size.  It is more than adequate for your dog, fits through most door openings in your home, and takes up less space.

You can find these crates at Walmart, petstores, feed supplies, e-bay, etc., but we usually order ours from
www.PetStreetMall.com. The pricing is comparable, there is no shipping charge, and it is delivered right to your door without the hassle of getting it home in the car.
